Who we are
GradSponsor Jobs ("we", "us", "our") is a UK-based job board that helps international graduates find roles offering Skilled Worker and Graduate visa sponsorship. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our website and services.
What data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Account data — name, email address, and hashed password when you register (handled by Supabase Auth). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google OAuth.
- Profile data — visa status, preferred sectors, preferred locations, salary expectations, degree subject, and any other information you provide during onboarding or profile editing.
- Usage data — pages viewed, jobs saved, jobs applied to, and interaction timestamps.
- Payment data — if you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe processes your payment details. We never see or store your full card number. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
- Email communications — we use Resend to send transactional emails and weekly digests. Resend processes your email address for delivery.
- Contact form submissions — name, email, and message content when you use the contact form.
How we use your data
- To provide and operate our job board services
- To create and manage your account
- To match you with relevant jobs based on your profile (Candidate subscribers)
- To send weekly email digests and transactional notifications
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
- To respond to support and contact requests
- To improve our services and fix issues
Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Contract — processing necessary to provide our services to you (account management, job matching, email digests).
- Consent — where you have opted in, for example by subscribing to email communications.
- Legitimate interests — improving our services, preventing abuse, and understanding how our platform is used.
Third-party services
We share data with the following processors, all of which have their own privacy policies:
- Supabase — database hosting, authentication, and data storage.
- Stripe — payment processing for paid subscriptions. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for payment data.
- Resend — email delivery for transactional emails and weekly digests.
- Vercel — hosting and deployment of our website.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for our services to function. These include authentication cookies (Supabase Auth) and functional local storage for UI preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Data retention
We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law. Payment records are retained as required by UK tax and accounting obligations.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data.
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Object — object to our processing where it is based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.

International data transfers
Some of our third-party service providers (Supabase, Stripe, Resend, Vercel) may process data outside the UK. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
Children
Our services are not directed at anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email. The latest version will always be available on this page.
